Marinated in our spice blend and cooked slow, with seasonal vegetables.

Rice and spaghetti with lamb and chicken, salad and hot sauce. Feeds two, easily.
Durdur is the Somali word for a running stream. It's the name we gave a small kitchen in Easton where the food is cooked the way it is at home: lamb left to go tender for hours, rice seasoned with our own spices, bread made fresh through the day.
Mornings start with quraac, the Somali breakfast: foul, liver, beef stew or eggs with anjero, French bread or paratha. By lunch the haniid and mandi are ready, and the platters come out for families and friends who eat together.
